The musical SUKATA premiered in 2013 at the Curitiba Festival and received very positive reviews, as well as local support for the project to continue. It has since sought to constantly improve and update its content, incorporating new techniques in recycling and sustainability.

Objective:

  • To implement an environmental culture and sustainable practices, beginning in childhood and adolescence.

  • To promote intellectual development and help form an audience interested in issues related to the city in which they live.

  • To spark interest in theatre through playfulness and music.

  • To encourage teachers, students, families and researchers to develop sustainable practices in their homes, workplaces and places of study.

  • To present a new way of talking about recycling through the musical Sukata, offering a real possibility of using recycled materials and awakening interest in the arts through theatre.

Target audience:

The age classification is suitable for all ages. Children and pre-teens.
By addressing recycling in a playful way, with lots of music, the show delights children and teenagers. Thanks to its accessible and natural language, it also captures the interest of families and teachers.

Sukata the Musical

The book on playwriting,

It portrays the reality of three employees at the Pekatu delivery confectionery shop who, dissatisfied with their work and living in terrible conditions, begin a recycling project that will change their lives and the lives of those around them. Through music, the characters bring about the awakening of a new way of living and the possibility of a sustainable society, with social responsibility and love for others.
